About me and my therapy practice

The warmest of welcomes to my page. It’s my pleasure to meet you… and however you are feeling right now, that’s welcome too.

Depressed? 😔 Anxious? 😟 Stuck? 😣 Hopeless? 😞 Trauma? Neurodiversity?

No one is as unique as you. It is my firmly held conviction that absolutely no one is beyond help.

We work together offering kind witnessing to find a nurturing, creative and restorative way forward. You may find the empathic, accepting relationship we develop can enable you to access areas that just seemed too painful to get near before. We can reflect together on new ways of being that can get closer to core difficulties, in practical, manageable ways that you experience as safe and grounding.

I don’t know what exactly brought you here, but maybe clarifying what the problem is, how those feelings are, expressing them somehow, can bring some relief and release.

I am an integrative talking therapy counsellor and Sandplay therapist. I also have additional training in complex trauma.

This means I work with many different theories and techniques, tailored to your specific needs. I meet you in this moment, to make sense of the past and find the path forward, the one that truly is yours.

Do get in touch, it would be my pleasure to hear from you.

You can choose from welcoming and comfy therapy rooms in Bromley and Croydon. I also consider care home visits and can offer secure online working.

Do let me know of any access needs you have.

You are welcome to my website at www.counsellornatasha.co.uk

I accept a limited number of clients to offer a truly bespoke service, tailored to you.

People find counselling and Sandplay helpful for:

Identity, anxiety or lack of confidence or belief in self

Every single person who comes for counselling is different. Your uniqueness is celebrated here.

Beneath all the pain and tears, there is a wonderment to being you, perhaps together we can discover a sense of what that may be.

It would be my absolute pleasure to welcome you, too.

My first session

Come as you are!

You are welcome and all your thoughts and emotions are welcome too.

We start with one initial session to meet.

This helps you decide whether you feel safe and comfy to work together with me. Here, you have choice.

I encourage clients to check-in with themselves: does this feel meaningful and helpful for me?

I also reflect very carefully: am I able to offer the help that you need right now?

Your safety, needs and wellbeing are my priority at all times. My emphasis is on your experiencing this, which can be healing and helpful in its own right.

Using Sandplay and creative materials offer a gentle kind witnessing recognising experiences that cannot be put into words.

There is never any pressure to talk or answer a question.

Sandplay and play-based or creative working can be particularly accessible, welcoming clients who are neurodiverse ADHD or Autism, live with complex trauma or learning differences. It also makes counselling accessible to people living with dementia.

Practice description

Perhaps you tried counselling before, and it wasn’t the right time or didn't feel right. I’m happy to hear about that. All your experiences are valid and valued. What helped? What wasn't so good?

Working together, you are in control and get to decide the pace. You can expect our primary focus will always on your feeling safe and comfy in the moment.

My practice is small to help me offer a truly bespoke service, tailored to you.

People find counselling and Sandplay helpful for:

  • Identity - 'Who am I?'
  • Anxiety - 'Something bad is gonna happen! I feel fear! I am overwhelmed!'
  • Self-esteem, or lack of confidence or belief in self - 'Where am I going?"
  • Trauma, complex trauma, intergenerational trauma. Bring the mess and confusion here. Let's use neurobiology, creativity, your senses and wise mind to get some order to this chaos.
  • Unhelpful relationship patterns, behaviours, distressing thoughts or feelings
  • Things we do to cope - addictions, eating distress, gambling. 'What problem is this behaviour trying to solve?'
  • Stress, lack of meaning, and depression
  • Loss, endings, bereavement, change, and grief work

Every single person who comes for counselling is different. Your uniqueness is celebrated here.
