Availability

I am pleased to offer flexible scheduling to accommodate my client's  needs. My practice operates from Monday to Sunday, providing clients with the option to choose morning, day, or evening sessions. Sessions are available between 9 AM and 9 PM, depending on availability.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, please reach out, and I will do my best to find a time that works for you. I strive to be responsive and will notify you of any planned time off in advance to ensure you have the support you need.

About me and my therapy practice

I am Shylen Nazare, a dedicated systemic family therapist t/a Holistic Harmony Haven Therapies, passionate about fostering healthy relationships and enhancing family well-being. With an HnD in Systemic Family Therapy, a Diploma in Social Studies- Counselling-Behavioural & Social Science, and a Bachelor's in Missional Leadership, I am a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).

My clinical experience spans diverse families facing challenges like cultural adjustment, communication breakdowns, and trauma. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each family's unique needs, utilising evidence-based practices that respect their cultural backgrounds.

Practice description

I provide an online  supportive and inclusive environment for individuals and families seeking to enhance their well-being and strengthen relationships. My approach is grounded in systemic family therapy, emphasising the significance of understanding people within their social contexts.

What to Expect:

  • Free Consultation/On-boarding Call

I offer a complimentary 15-25 minute consultation to discuss your needs and goals. This initial call allows you to ask questions, learn about my approach, and determine if we’re a good fit.

  • Assessment Sessions:  
After the on-boarding call, we will schedule three assessment sessions. The first two sessions focus on gathering information about your unique challenges and strengths. I utilise evidence-based interventions tailored to your situation, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.


  • Review Session

In the third session, we will evaluate insights from the previous assessments and discuss our therapeutic relationship. This is crucial for determining whether we are aligned in our work together. If we decide to continue, we will create a plan for future sessions, incorporating gradual reviews to track your progress.

  • Evidence-Based Interventions

I employ various evidence-based modalities to ensure our work is effective and relevant. These interventions address communication patterns, explore emotional responses, and identify coping strategies, tailored to respect your cultural backgrounds and values.

  • Ongoing Support

My goal is to empower individuals and families to navigate challenges effectively, enhancing understanding and improving connections. As we progress, I will provide continuous support, helping you harness your strengths and address obstacles.

My first session

In our first session (all sessions online), I aim to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for my  clients. We'll start by discussing why you’re seeking therapy and what challenges you’re facing. This helps me understand your unique situation and tailor our approach to your needs. Together, we'll identify what you hope to achieve through therapy. This ensures that our work is focused on what’s most important to you.

I’ll explain my therapeutic approach and the evidence-based methods we might use. I’ll also walk you through how our online sessions will be structured, so you know what to expect. I want you to feel comfortable, so this session is all about dialogue. Feel free to share any concerns or questions you have about the online process. We’ll discuss confidentiality and the ethical guidelines that govern our work together, so you can feel secure in sharing your thoughts and feelings.

Overall, this first session is all about laying the groundwork for our therapeutic relationship and setting the stage for meaningful progress, all from the comfort of your own space. I look forward to connecting with you!
