About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kevin and I'm an Integrative therapist, gaining my BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute. My training incorporated various modalities, enabling me to tailor my approach accordingly to my clients needs using different approaches and tools to increase a clients awareness, self-direction and autonomy.

Born and raised in London, my journey towards becoming a therapist started whilst I was volunteering from my mid-twenties for numerous charities including  The Samaritans, Macmillan Trust, Terrence Higgins Trust and later with Prostate Cancer UK.  Thereafter, I worked for drug and alcohol misuse charities including Turning Point and the LGBTQ+ community London Friend as a support worker and counsellor.

Having experienced traumas of my own I was able to fully understand and recognise the importance of having a therapist to work these traumas through with.

Throughout the years of my therapeutic work, I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to support clients of different age, culture and sexual orientation  through their psychological issues, anxieties, trauma, shame, abuse, loss and drug and alcohol dependency.

Working together has enabled clients to gain a better relationship with themselves and others, therefore supporting them on the road of self-discovery and self-development. This can involve looking at past patterns and behaviours and how it still impacts their relationship with themselves and others.

My hope is for clients to feel safe enough to find their voice that possibly hadn't been heard, or denied, repressed or misunderstood, allowing them to find some peace, acceptance and understanding.

Practice description

We can work face-to-face from a warm and safe environment, online via zoom or telephone.

I aim to provide a calm and neutral environment from my home for us to gain trust, allowing an exploration of any issues that you wish to bring within the therapeutic space, in an empathic and honest manner.

I can work with a soft exploration or can take on a more direct approach depending on my clients preferences, enabling us to deepen the awareness to gain autonomy.

My first session

Our first contact will consist of a 20 minute zoom call, phone call or a face to face meet in my practice from home, This will ollow us the opportunity to talk through your current difficulties and what you hope to gain from therapy.
