I often work with couples and individuals who are experiencing relationship issues and who may be facing difficult decisions about the future. I also help clients through the process of moving on from separation or divorce including navigating the often daunting process of dating and forming new relationships after the end of a long relationship.

Relationship satisfaction has a profound effect on our wellbeing and ability to flourish in life. I use a combination of tailored therapeutic approaches to help you find ways to overcome relationship challenges.

In addition to my work in private practice I have experience of working with clients in GP practices and with employees of an NHS trust in an occupational health setting.

As such I have a broad experience of counselling clients with issues including depression and anxiety; grief and loss; relationship issues including communication issues, contemplating divorce and post-divorce/separation and co-parenting/children issues; domestic abuse; menopause; postnatal depression and birth trauma; infertility; self-esteem and confidence issues; life transitions and changes; existential fear/life meaning; social isolation.

I have a rich and varied life experience which helps me to understand and connect with my clients. I have enjoyed previous careers in the corporate sector, in the NHS as a midwife and in education.

My usual session times in Didsbury are Thursdays - daytime and evening, and in Hale sessions are Tuesday daytime and evening. 

Other times are available by arrangement.

Fees

My fees are from:

Individual counselling £70 per one hour session.

Couples counselling £95 per one hour session.

I am often able to offer short notice 'Couples SOS' sessions, please ask for details if this is your situation.

I am a registered provider with WPA private medical insurance and also with the Onebright Network which covers other insurers and workplace counselling schemes. I am happy to provide invoices for you to reclaim the costs of therapy where applicable.
