About me and my therapy practice
When things are difficult or overwhelming it can be useful to get emotional support and talk to someone to understand ourselves and our situations better. We may need another person to help us make sense of our experiences so we can move through them. We may be feeling anxious, depressed, lost or stuck. We may not know what the problem is, but our usual ways of coping don't seem to be up to the task and we can no longer ignore that something feels wrong. It is not always possible to sort things out alone or with family or friends. Maybe what is bothering you feels too private, or you want someone impartial to help you gain another perspective . Maybe you have noticed unhelpful patterns, beliefs or narratives about yourself or your relationships. This is where therapy can help.
I am a qualified counsellor and therapist based in Central London and North London. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches. The way I work depends on you and your needs, as each person, and each relationship, is different. I focus on providing a safe, therapeutic space where you can feel seen and heard. My style is warm, empathic, authentic and non-judgmental.
A bit more about me... I am passionate about helping people. I am a parent, I was born and raised in Australia. Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years as a solicitor in Australia and in the City of London, both at law firms and as legal counsel in finance and media. I have been a client too so understand what it's like from both sides. I also know from personal experience how rewarding and transformative therapy can be.
Practice description
I work in a relational way, based on you and your needs and with the intention of meeting you where you are. Some of the approaches I draw on include psychodynamic, humanistic and person-centred, relational therapy, attachment-based, gestalt, and body psychotherapy. I do have a special interest in working with trauma and in using holistic approaches; bringing together mind and body and different parts of Self, to heal the whole person.
Specialist training (CPDs):
Childhood Sexual Abuse, CBT, Death and Bereavement, Transpersonal, Family & Belonging, Psychiatric Assessment, Eating Disorders, Self-harm and Suicide, Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity, Working with Refugees, Working with Trauma.

I understand it can be hard to reach out and take the first step. If you are interested in starting therapy then feel free to get in touch by phone or email. You are welcome to leave me a voicemail message and I will come back to you as soon as I can.
I offer a 30 minute initial consultation where we can meet and see if we might work well together. There is no charge for the initial consultation and this takes place online.
