About me and my therapy practice

I am here to support you finding freedom. Freedom from painful thoughts in the mind, freedom of choice, freedom to live the life you want to without being dictated to about who you should be. I can help you gain that empowerment. Know that your mind is not in control, rather, you are in control of your mind. You can stop thinking those old negative thoughts and beliefs to find the power and intelligence within you.

We have become highly skilled in the development of technology, but we are organic. The land we live on provides food, shelter, medicine and comfort.  By developing a closer and more direct relationship to the land we automatically feel independence, safety and empowerment. Silent Haven is a hand built off grid lodge surrounded by 20 acres of woodland and is designed for humans to live simply and independantly in their natural surroundings. Ecotherapy helps to begin to cut out the fearful dialogue from others about how safe you are on this planet. The land  helps you to feel spiritual, physical and emotional health. Retreats are also available where you can enjoy longer stays in the woodland.

This is a space where you can speak openly in complete confidence and be treated with kindness. Explore your painful or distressing feelings and concerns and be listened to with respect. You can courageosly voice your unspoken words without feeling judged. Find your way forward as an autonomous individual. I honour your unique life experience, your suffering. Often, resolving mental issues releases physical issues, releasing spiritual issues. The therapeutic relationship and a willingness to be there is the key to healing. I help you to honour and nurture your deepest soul calling.

Practice description

At Silent Haven, we can sit in talk therapy or explore the land. It is entirely up to you. Integrative counselling explores different approaches depending on what you need. I help you find your own path.

Time at Silent Haven can teach you how to strengthen your inner and outer resources. Discover and deepen your relationship to nature through talking therapy directly in nature. Play with written exercises and drawing, simply walk on the land and observe, learn about foraging free food and medicines, make a fire, plant seeds and see them grow. Realign yourself to your true nature.

Understanding how history and conditioning impacts on our everyday lives and relationships with others helps to let go of these old patterns that don't serve. Discover the parts of yourself who sabotage, critiscise or play victim. See life through a different lens.

Meditation helps you to slow down thoughts so that they can be identified and released.

Mindfulness is beneficial, as you learn to be in the safety of the moment, paying attention to what is really going on inside, as opposed to what should be going on or what we would like to be going on.

Visualisations help align more with who you are.

Sometimes words cannot be found or expressed, so we can explore through creative arts therapy.

Experiencing the safety and beauty of the natural environment can give you a sense of freedom and security. These feelings  can help you to resolve the impact history and conditioning has on your life and relationships with others. Environment plays a vital role in our sense of wellbeing.  Release the parts of yourself who sabotage, critiscise or play victim. My first session

You are welcome to have a phone chat with me before you decide to book your first session so you can decide whether I am the right counsellor for you. We can discuss your needs and how counselling works; about confidentiality and a contract we agree on. If you want to go ahead, the next time we meet, I will ask you to sign our contact. The counselling sessions last for one hour and for this hour it is entirely your space.
