About me and my therapy practice
A Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ registered Counsellor and with a post graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an integrative therapist working under the ethical framework of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ. I’m a firm believer that everyone can benefit from counselling. My clients come to me for a variety of reasons. Some want counselling to recover from childhood trauma, domestic abuse or physical violence. Others feel isolated, alone and unheard. Perhaps you’ve experienced bullying, low self-esteem or suicidal thoughts. Many of my clients don’t really know what’s wrong. They just feel burdened, unhappy or ‘stuck'. My main role is to listen. I offer a safe space, free from judgement, where you can talk freely. Everything we discuss will be kept confidential. As a trained therapist, I’ll act as your guide, gently steering you through your counselling journey. Together, we’ll get to the root cause of what’s holding you back.
Life can be exhausting. Sometimes it feels we’ve no sooner overcome one challenge before another comes to knock us down. We pick ourselves up, take a deep breath and try to move on. But that trauma doesn’t just go away. It lurks in the background, and can lead to anxiety, sleep disorders, low self-esteem, addictions, relationship difficulties and more. Counselling and psychotherapy help you to work through past traumas and build resilience. Doing so can benefit you in so many ways, both mentally and physically.
I now help people to work through trauma, mental health challenges and other obstacles that are stopping them from living a full life. I don’t judge or lecture. But I do listen.
You may have a goal in mind. Or you might just want to breathe easier and feel mentally stronger. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling, the next step in your journey is to get in touch.
Practice description
Face-to-face counselling
I offer one-to-one counselling at my office in Tavistock, Devon. There’s plenty of nearby parking and the office is easily accessible from Plymouth, Exeter, Okehampton and East Cornwall.
Online counselling
Virtual therapy sessions are becoming increasingly popular. Thanks to the internet, distance is no longer a deciding factor when you’re choosing the right therapist for your needs. I offer online sessions using Zoom or Skype.
I’m an integrative therapist, which means I welcome a wide range of clients. I actively engage with my clients and draw from a range of therapeutic practises, using those which are best suited to each individual and the particular problem they’re facing.
Below are just a few of the reasons you might come to me for counselling:
• You have anxiety, depression or OCD
• You’re a member of the LGBTQ+ community and have experienced discrimination and internalised shame
• You have a long-term health condition, such as MS or HIV and are working through what that means to you
• You feel unheard or misunderstood
• You’re a survivor of childhood abuse or domestic violence
• You’re being brought down by grief
• You’re tackling addictions
• You feel like you keep making the same mistakes in relationships or at work
Are you on a low income?
I offer a number of my sessions at a reduced rate to people who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy. So if you’re worried about the cost of counselling, please do reach out.

I have a limited number of reduced rate appointments available for students. Please contact me for further information.
