About me and my therapy practice
A warm welcome and thank you for dropping by.
My name is Tricia, I hope to offer a warm & gentle place for you to unpack what you are currently experiencing.
I am a Psychosynthesis psychotherapeutic counsellor, with a level 7 post graduate diploma. I am a registered member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and I trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London Bridge. The training is accredited with both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy(Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ).
I offer both in person face to face work & I work on line in private practice. I also currently provide some Psychosynthesis counselling to support mental health and emotional well being for individuals working in organisations.
At the age of 26 I developed an interest in healing arts and inner-discovery which arose from my own personal difficulty. Over the years I have built inner resources from this time to current day. This now benefits my practice.
My career background was previously in supporting young people with careers advice & guidance.
It is both a passion and a privilege to now work with adult individuals using a Psychosynthesis approach to support personal growth & change.
It can take courage to admit there is a problem and to seek help. Perhaps something in your life doesn’t feel right. You experience feeling low, anxious, unmotivated, hurt, angry or uncertain about your situation, with family, in relationships or in the workplace.
I offer a safe confidential space, with commitment and warmth to walk beside you and to help you figure out what is really going on, I find that when this happens, it usually brings a sense of relief. You can perhaps start to understand yourself in a different way for the first time. This in turn can enable you to make satisfactory changes, so you can live your life more authentically and in a way that suits you better - enabling you to reach your individual potential.
Practice description
The Psychosynthesis style of counselling is an integrative approach, which means it draws from different schools of psychology. I offer a person-centred perspective working with what is happening in the present for you. During our sessions if appropriate we might look at early conditioning, and explore the dynamics of the wider family & relationships. The way I work enables a wider lens approach assisting you in gaining a sense of deeper understanding, and clarity.
My style is gentle enquiry with an element of appropriate challenge, where it can offer you benefit. We can journey at a pace that is suited to you. I sometimes invite working creatively with use of object, imagery and metaphor, this can be useful to look beyond the challenges you might be experiencing. We can explore together, supporting you to find your own inner understanding, so to develop greater self-awareness and acceptance, this type of approach appeals to those who long for a more authentic and truer experience of themselves. So, I can adapt my approach using different resources to tailor the therapy to best suit your needs and offer that which feels comfortable and the most meaningful for you.
My first session
It is important for you to find the right therapist. So, I would suggest having an initial conversation. This would give you the opportunity to speak about what is going on for you. And you can ask questions about me, and how I work as a practitioner, so you can see if what I offer is the right fit for you.
To arrange this free slot, you can contact me via this page or by email to arrange a time for a chat, and we can go from there.
If you then decide further to our conversation that you would like to work with me, we can find a mutually agreed time slot to follow.
I look forward to hearing from you
