About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Hannah, I offer online counselling for individuals. Seeking therapy can feel like a daunting process, but hopefully my profile will help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Distress can arise in our lives for many reasons. We all have different biographies and circumstances that are unique to us and for this reason, therapeutic needs will be very different and individual. I passionately believe that therapy is for everyone, and I want you to feel safe, validated and supported throughout. I am warm, down to earth and trustworthy. I work in a person-centred way, because I am interested in getting to know you, not just the difficulties you are experiencing. As our work together progresses, and in collaboration with you, I may bring to the therapy different theoretical ideas and practical insights that may be helpful to you. I aim to provide you with a space where you can make sense of things and understand yourself better.

Practice description

I currently work with all age groups from 18+. I am committed to providing culturally sensitive practice, and I have extensive experience of working with richly diverse clients. I am trained to work with, and welcome clients who are neurodivergent.

I have spent the overwhelming majority of my working life in education, supporting the well-being of students and promoting positive mental health.  I have worked with childhood trauma and attachment issues for over 20 years. In addition to my work as a therapist, I also have a specialist role, working with students from around the UK who have a range of mental health conditions, or who are neurodivergent, helping them to access higher education.

My Qualifications include:

  • Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Foundations in Counselling
  • BA Hons in Communication Studies
  • NMH Mentor Training National Autistic Society
  • Certified Clinical Specialist in Autism (ASDCS)
  • ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP)

I have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Servive)
