About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative humanistic and psychodynamic counsellor with experience working in private practise, the NHS and the voluntary sector. I offer both long and short term talking therapy and also the option to combine talking therapy with Somatic body work for an integrated MindBody approach which resets the nervous system and releases stored or incomplete trauma responses.

Across a life time we encounter many transitions and events that shake the sense of ourselves. These crisis’ usually build up until they cause a fracturing of the parts of ‘us’ that can lead to anxiety, depression, obsessive thinking patterns, relationship problems and the manifestation of physical illness, addictive behaviours and a general sense of dissociation, dis-ease and low functioning.  You may feel you reached a point where you can’t ’take It anymore’ and recognise that something needs to change.

Over time therapeutic intervention will leave you not only feeling whole again, but fully able to inhabit a revised sense of your self-concept, your body and the moment, for maximum enjoyment and potential in life.

My grounding principle is in understanding each client from an holistic biopsychosocial perspective, to address all the elements of our experience of ourselves in relationship to others and the world around us including our intergenerational inheritances.

This work will give you choice about how to move forward in life.

I work with a broad base of clients and this includes ADHD & Autistic people & those with other Neurodiversities. I work to understand life up to that point, and the ways in which Neurodiversity has shaped the parenting we received, life experience and the way your sense of self developed around those conditions. For late diagnosed clients this can be a radical change of perspective. This is deep compassionate work leading to acceptance and authenticity.

Practice description

I work in a quiet, comfortable practise a five minute walk from Clapham Junction station. The area is well served by both buses and trains and the shops and cafes of Northcote Road.

My first session

We will arrange to have an introductory phone call so that you can gauge whether you would like to try a session with me.
