About me and my therapy practice
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ
Finding the therapist that is right for you may feel a challenge, especially at a time when you may be feeling vulnerable and dealing with uncertainties. This is not unusual, whether you have undertaken therapy in the past or whether this is the first time you have sought therapy. Sometimes we need help to overcome conflicts and blocks in ourselves and in our relationships that are confusing and difficult to face. I can offer you a confidential and safe space where, together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings to make sense of your experiences. I believe it is important to be acknowledged and understood, so, at your pace, I can help you be more self-aware to understand the feelings that play a big part in who you are and how you behave.
Practice description

I am an experienced psychotherapist & counsellor offering individual therapy; I provide both short-term and open-ended therapy. I have experience working with a wide range of issues and have helped people from various nationalities, backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. Alongside my private practice, I work at a community counselling service in Waterloo. Prior to psychotherapy, I worked as co-leader and facilitator of emotional and personal development programs at Holloway prison in London, YMCA, and with people that are homeless; I have also worked in a non-profitable institution at a shelter in Greece and schools in India and Nepal. My psychological training and extensive experience working with a variety of people and presentations support my understanding and compassion of mental and physical conditions.
Setting aside time to focus on yourself and talk about the things that are causing you distress can help bring new perspectives and ease some anxieties that can hold you back from living a happier and more fulfilled way. I work from a primarily psychodynamic perspective, which means understanding the root of patterns and behaviours and understanding how they continue to play out. This can help bring insight into yourself and how you relate to the world, which can, in turn, bring help build resilience and confidence. The psychodynamic frame aims to offer a holistic approach that balances the focus, allowing us to look back to understand the past, explore current situations, and connect to unconscious motivations and pressures.
