About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my profile. If you're looking for a safe, confidential, open minded space in which to talk, I can readily provide that.

  • I provide online (video call)/telephone sessions (remote sessions).

I'm particularly experienced in helping clients to overcome low self-esteem/self-worth; anxiety and panic; depression, limiting beliefs; past trauma; understanding and working with neurodiversity; attachment and issues affecting interpersonal relationships.

In addition, I also offer counselling for grief and loss, and for those living with illness.

What might a session be like?

I combine talking therapy (an open, supportive dialogue), with practical, behavioural approaches such as mindfulness, mindful-CBT, self-compassion, and solution-focused brief therapy.

  • My way of working is 'person-centered', meaning I tailor what I'm doing to you, rather than impose a set structure.
  • Sessions take the form of a relaxed, curious dialogue, and where relevant we might also work on coping strategies and practices.

Practice description

I’m an 'integrative' counsellor (psychotherapist), blending Person-Centered talking therapy (with an emotion focus), with the practical approaches and tools of mindfulness, self-compassion, Mindful-CBT, and Internal Family Systems.

If you’re wrestling with existential questions, due to depression, a recent loss, or bereavement, I have a deep interest in Buddhism and a comfort with exploring existential topics, from a curious, open-minded, point of view.

A particular niche of my practice is discussing self-worth, identity and 'selfhood' - our sense of who we are.

How long does therapy last?

A session lasts for 50 minutes. How many sessions you have is up to you. There is no minimum or maximum term.

Normally sessions occur on a weekly basis, but I also offer fortnightly sessions.

What does it cost?

£50 per session.

And I offer a concessionary rate for...

students,

NHS and health & social care workers,

those on benefits, and OAPs.

My first session

Next steps…

I offer a free (no obligation) consultation* (up to 30 minutes), via video or telephone call, ask questions, and get a better sense of what I would be like to work with.

*We can arrange this by email, text, or phone call.

After that… you will have the option to book a first therapy session.

I also welcome questions by email, and we can book in first sessions that way.
