About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Registered Therapist situated in Woking Surrey.
My role is to facilitate a secure and caring environment that will allow you to feel safe to talk in confidence about what you bring to each session.
I help you do this by using empathic listening and reflecting back to you my understanding of what you are saying.
The aim is to lead to your increasing sense of self, self confidence and self awareness to overcome the challenges you are facing.
Practice description
I work using the Person-centred method of counselling, this means that you the client are in control of of all that we do., I am there to help and support you to explore what it is that has brought you to counselling.
I sometimes use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you to work on feelings or beliefs that you might feel trapped by, or that you feel stuck in a cycle that is holding you back from progressing in certain areas of your life.
As a listener for Samaritans I am able to offer grief counselling.
I work from my home where you can talk in confidence and comfort.
My first session
Our first session will in part be spent getting to know each other and how we can work together.
I will ask a few questions so that I have an idea of what you hope to get out of counselling and how I think I can help.
