About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified counsellor, registered with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ with over 30 years experience, which includes working with a leading UK emergency service and as a volunteer for a local community counselling service, successfully helping young people (15 - 18 yrs) and adults overcome emotional challenges and trauma that is affecting them enjoying life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety and depression impacting on relationships and daily life, want to change negative habits and behaviours or figure out life direction and build confidence please get in contact.
I’m also able to provide mentoring, through the development of coaching and development programmes, to enable individuals to achieve their potential.
I have significant experience working with teenagers, encouraging, often vulnerable or challenged children, to engage on a programme that provides support, stability, discipline, direction, encouragement and a sense of belonging with an exceptional success rate motivating them to good life choices about their future.
I was diagnosed with dyslexia late in life so feel I have a strong understanding of neurodiversity and how challenging many situations can be in life and the importance of embracing this difference and harnessing the benefits. This experience has enabled me to support many clients with a range of neurodiverse challenges to develop effective strategies to feel confident to discuss and develop strategies to achieve their potential.
My clients say that I am calm and approachable, providing the space and when appropriate humour, to help them achieve their counselling goals. That I am able to adapt my approach dependent on what you need; from listening through to helping you gently challenge yourself.
