About me and my therapy practice

Would you like the opportunity to feel heard, accepted, and understood? I can offer you the time and space to be yourself and think without pressure. This will give you clarity and insight, empowering you to find your own voice and realise your full potential.

You don’t have to feel alone when life feels challenging or overwhelming. Sometimes you may not know what is troubling you and it takes courage to seek support. By listening to you with complete compassion and empathy, together we can gently explore the causes of painful emotions such as anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and self-harm, panic attacks or low self-esteem.

I have experience supporting people living through relationship difficulties to feel less isolated and alone.

I specialise in supporting people living with chronic illness, bereavement, unexpected loss, trauma, and menopause.

I have experience supporting couples when facing challenging times together, in finding an amicable way forwards through separation and divorce and pre-marital therapy to address any concerns or issues.

I offer a confidential, warm, non-judgemental setting where you will feel heard, valued, and accepted for who you are, placing you at the heart of our therapeutic relationship. We will work together at your pace, without pressure, to make positive changes in your life and relationships.

I offer a free 30-minute Zoom session where we can talk through any questions you may have and agree how you would like to use our time together. I offer both open-ended and short-term therapy, depending on your needs - the choice is always yours.

I work integratively tailoring your therapy to you and your individual needs.

Practice description

My private practice is in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. It has free parking and easy access to the M25, Rickmansworth station and town centre. It is within easy reach of Chorleywood, Croxley Green, Watford, Sarratt and Amersham.

I offer in-person sessions or the flexibility of remote sessions on Zoom, Teams or by telephone.

My first session

For individual counselling, all sessions are for 50 minutes. During our first session, I will explain the boundaries and limitations of our therapeutic agreement with you (confidentiality, cancellation policy, how I hold your data etc) and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We will then explore the issues which concern you, so we can work together to identify your goals for therapy and explore the approach that suits you best.

For Couples, our first session will be 90 minutes long. Again, I will explain the boundaries and limitations of our therapeutic agreement with you both (confidentiality, cancellation policy, how I hold your data etc) and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We will use our time for you each to individually say and explore your situation from your perspective and listen to what your partner says respectfully and without interruption. We will then discuss and explore your concerns and how we can work together to find a way forward. Subsequent sessions will be for 60 minutes.

About me and my therapy practice

I have completed the Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Supervision and offer 1:1 or group Supervision sessions on Zoom or in-person.

I’m an integrative therapist and my model has a person-centred core integrating Psychodynamic Theory and Transactional Analysis.

In my private practice, I have a wide range of experience, working with both couples and individuals and can offer supervision for both.

Whether you are in training, recently qualified or more experienced, I can offer you a safe and confidential environment to reflect on your client work and practice as a whole. My aim is to support and encourage you in a collaborative way to empower your work, gain insight into what challenges you, identify goals and celebrate your achievements.

I offer Supervision at a reduced cost to counselling students.

I offer an initial free 30-minute Zoom chat to see if we feel comfortable working together and are a good fit.
