About me and my therapy practice
It can be really hard to decide to start looking for a counsellor; know that I’m here to offer you a warm, supportive space for you to share as openly as you feel comfortable, without judgment.
There are lots of reasons people seek counselling and all of them are valid - I recognise that what you bring is important to you.
Life can come with a whole host of challenges - feeling out of control, stuck in unhealthy cycles (thought patterns, behaviours, relationships), low self-confidence, anxiety, stress, depression, comparing, feeling irritable, overwhelmed.
We can explore what you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting you together, alongside developing new ways to help you manage effectively so that you can feel empowered, in control and capable.
As an integrative counsellor with the Person-Centred Approach at the heart of how I work, I believe that you know you better than anyone. The integrative part means that I use other theories to best support you.
I offer a free 30 minute Zoom call so we can meet, have a chat about your hopes for counselling and for you to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you.
With exploring, discovering and understanding, I believe you can heal, grow and thrive…
My first session
I offer a free initial meeting so we can meet and chat about your hopes for counselling, what you'd like to get from the sessions.
I might ask a few questions about what's happening for you. Equally, this is very much a time for you to ask any questions you might have.
These might be about how I work as a counsellor - they might be about counselling in general. Of course, I'm happy to answer these if I can.
Following on from this, if you decide that you'd like to work together, I'll ask you to fill in an assessment form - this will help to give me an idea of how your experiences are affecting you.
What I can help with
Anger management, Anxiety, Child related issues, Depression, Identity issues, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
