About me and my therapy practice

I am deeply passionate about helping people. Through my own personal life experience and mental health challenges, counselling and psychotherapy has given a life perspective I would have never imagined before. I truly believe we each have our own answers, sometimes buried deep within us. Therapy is a process to unearth them - perhaps when they are needed most.

I work with an integrative counselling approach for a range of life issues. This starts with an exploration of the presenting problem(s), linking in past experiences to the present, to formulate goals for therapy going forward. I cater to the personal needs of each client in order to unlock their full potential.

Whatever the problem(s), no matter how great or small it is perceived to be, help is available to overcome them. Friends, colleagues and clients have described me as calm, caring and resilient. I have a thirst for knowledge and understanding of people. I value connection, trust and honesty, and I am committed in my work to help you.

Practice description

I operate a successful private counselling practice, Life Perspective, along with several other counsellors.

We serve clients nationally online in the UK and have in-person appointments in the Billericay / Basildon area here in Essex, ideally situated for clients located in areas surrounding East London, Romford, Chelmsford, and Southend.

My first session

I offer a free 15 to 30 minute consultation where we can assess if I can support you and begin to understand your needs.  You can also ask any questions you may have regarding counselling therapy.

Following on from this, your first session will cover how and when we work together and begin to safely and confidentially explore your issues in more detail, which may include links to your past experiences and relationships.  We will start to get to know one another, and I will offer to continue to provide you with the same safe, confidential and supportive space for you to offload, explore, and ultimately transcend the problems you are experiencing.

Availability

I currently have availability to work with new supervisees, Monday to Friday.

I offer supervision hourly every fortnight or monthly for 1.5 hours. Please contact me to find out more, I am always happy to talk and explore options.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified supervisor and have experience supervising counselling students and qualified counsellors alike.

I have worked in different counselling settings and with a wide range of people experiencing different issues, of different ages, social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

My core training is integrative (person centred / psychodynamic) and my continued work and practice have been with different therapeutic models and interventions.

I am also a counselling tutor for the CPCAB where I can support students with guidance in their studies.

Practice description

My approach to supervision is truly collaborative, where I see both of us as equal.  My emphasis is on actively supporting you in your client work, where I focus on your growth and development and supporting you to meet both your own and your client's needs.

I work to ensure that we develop a friendly, honest, and open, relationship, where sensitivity and respect are valued and you feel safe to explore anything.  Your wellbeing and ultimately your clients' safety and welfare are at the front and centre of my work.

I am happy to meet with new supervisees for an initial session to get a feel for how we might work together.

My first session

Our first session will allow us to get to know one another, where we can explore our training and experience, how we both work, and what you are looking for in a supervisor.  It is also an opportunity to discuss your goals and expectations and how I can support you in your client work and professional development.
