About me and my therapy practice
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist and counsellor with experience working with people from all walks of life. The idea of starting therapy may be overwhelming. You may feel anxious, depressed or lost, not knowing how you got to where you are now. I aim to listen to you share your problems, stories and experiences. I am interested in what you say and understand how difficult it may be to share your feelings with others, especially if they involve traumatic experiences.
I work relationally and aim to support you to achieve your goals. I have experience working with a wide range of people and a particular interest in attachment and relationships, gender and sexual orientation.
I invite you to bring your feelings and experiences to explore in a space where you are free to be your true self, and together, we can work to figure things out.
Practice description
I work as an integrative humanistic relational therapist. We can all change and desire to be our true, authentic selves. Focussing predominantly on Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches, my method is holistic, drawing upon various skills to support my clients in developing and building resources.
I have a pragmatic approach to therapy and work closely with my clients to build a safe and supportive relationship where we can explore in a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space.
I work compassionately and gently, non-obtrusively sharing my thoughts and observations to support my clients as we make sense of their problems together.
My first session
I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation by Zoom or telephone in my practice elsewhere. A private face-to-face consultation with me costs £25. A consultation allows you to meet me, see how you feel about working with me, and get to know each other a little. There is time to ask questions and share what may be on your mind. We will then discuss your needs and wants from therapy before looking at if or how we may work together to support your goals. We can work on a short-term or longer, open-ended basis, and I charge £65 per session.
What I can help with
Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Life coaching, Loss, Men's issues, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Service veterans, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Vegan allied, Work related issues
