About me and my therapy practice
Choosing counselling for yourself is one of the biggest choices you make in supporting your own well being.
Your experiences are unique and personal to you, therefore your counselling should be the same.
I offer a safe space to be heard, whether that is in person, or through online sessions and draw on a range of therapies to be adaptable and supportive of your counselling journey.
You are the expert of your world, therefore our sessions uses an integrative Humanistic approach to support your navigation of recent or past experiences. You set the focus and we work together in our counselling relationship, communicating simply and openly, to ensure you get what you need from our sessions.
Having worked in the education sector for over 14 years, I have supported many teenagers and adults through a range of experiences: burn out, anxiety, stress and relationship dynamics.
Having worked with a local homeless charity, I have supported clients with addiction, loss, grief and significant trauma.
In supporting Mental Health events in Manchester over the past few years, such as Cope Festival at the Graystone Skate park, I have been able to engage the sporting community in how to communicate to be heard and seek support.
I have an absolute passion in supporting others and have been lucky to spend the majority of my life getting to do this whether it is in a classroom, conference room or in a counselling room. We all deserve to be truly heard, genuinely accepted and offered empathy and I feel humbled to be able to offer that to my clients.
Practice description
Clear. Simple. Deserved.
Counselling gives you the space and time to be heard.
Often we seek therapy when we are feeling a heaviness, fogginess or loneliness and sometimes cannot articulate or even pin point what it is and that's ok.
We can work together to seek that clarity and understanding, in a space that encompasses empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regards: core conditions we all deserve and help us thrive.
I offer both long and short term therapy.
It is important you find the right therapist for you and so I offer a free 15 minute consultation call (phone or video) to answer any questions you might have.
I am passionate about supporting those that chose to work and help others so offer concession rates to trainee counsellors; veterans and teachers.
