About me and my therapy practice
My counselling office is located in the Head Office of the Peak District National Park just one mile from the center of Bakewell. In addition to being a tranquil setting there is also plenty of free parking available.
I tailor counselling sessions to each of my client’s specific needs and personality. You are as unique as your individual fingerprints and deserve a counselling experience that reflects this. We will work at your pace.
My psychodynamic training and integrative counselling experience enables me to build a toolkit of coping strategies and self-awareness tools suited to your specific needs. I will routinely email and strategies that we’ve explored during your session as a pdf or infographic between sessions for you to keep and refer to should you wish to.
I work with individuals, couples, and teens. Sessions are 60 minutes.
Practice description
I offer a variety of counselling options so you can pick what feels most comfortable for you.
In person: In my counselling practice in Bakewell. Located just outside the main shopping area on a lovely green space with plenty of free parking.
Online: The system I use for online appointments is called Doxy.me which complies with the security and privacy requirements of the healthcare industry and is a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy approved online platform. Simply click on the link I send you at your appointment time to meet with me. No cumbersome application downloads needed.
Outdoors in nature (walk and talk therapy): Available in the Bakewell and Buxton areas. If the thought of sitting in a counselling room feels daunting or you find it difficult to sit for any length of time, walk and talk therapy might be a better fit for you. Walk and talk incorporates being outdoors in nature with the integrative approach to therapy I use in the counselling room.
Telephone: I call you at your appointment time for telephone sessions.
