About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in anxiety, depression, addiction, childhood trauma and I'm neuro affirming, with experience of working with a number neurodivergent clients. Many of those I work with are young adults, but I work with all ages on a variety of presenting issues and challenges.
I have personally experienced the transformative effects of counselling, but I know that reaching out for counselling support can feel like a huge, nerve-wracking step for many people. A short, initial chat on the phone may provide you with the reassurance you need to embark on your own personal journey to greater understanding and wellbeing. I will provide you with a warm, confidential and reflective space to explore the difficulties you may be experiencing. At the heart of my approach is the belief that together we can create awareness and understanding of what's causing your current discomfort . I can then support you in making the changes necessary to help restore greater balance, peace and happiness in your life.
Practice description
As a humanistic, integrative counsellor, I work with my clients to help them develop better self-awareness and a clearer understanding of their difficulties. Working collaboratively, I help clients discover aspects of self that might be contributing to their discomfort and then support them in enabling them to make changes. All individuals are unique and so I use a range of therapeutic techniques to suit each client and their particular needs. I offer open ended counselling, so this ranges from a few sessions to longer term work depending on a client’s needs and what is agreed. I have experience working with adults and young people (16+), helping them with a range of issues.
I offer face to face sessions from counselling@unit12 in Winall, Winchester and The Counselling Space in Eastleigh. With close access to the M3, M27 and A34, I am conveniently situated for Southampton, Basingstoke, Andover and surrounding Hampshire villages.
Online and telephone sessions are also available.
I offer short-term or open-ended counselling for adults and young people (16+).
My first session
I offer a free initial 30 minute telephone appointment where we can discuss what has brought you to seek support and to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.
If we decide to work together, future sessions are 50 minutes in length and usually take place on the same day and time on a weekly basis.
