About me and my therapy practice
What can therapy with me offer you? Freedom to be you and to feel no judgement as well as being truly heard. Being validated and understood in therapy in a safe place can help you find yourself and my aim is to work with you to look at different areas of your life. I work in an integrative and relational way and offer intervention using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory and Person-centred.
I have worked largely with anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, low confidence, low self-esteem, negative critical voice, perfectionism, sadness, loss, anger management, emotional unavailability, burnout, shame, stress and family issues. I have particular experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, domestic abuse and violence, relationship problems and dysfunctional family relationship issues. I have experience with those who haven't had counselling before, those who find it hard to open up about their feelings, and also those that may have experienced difficulties in therapy before.
Practice description
I have been in practice since 2019 and set up my private practice in 2020. I regularly engage in further CPD training work as a trauma informed therapist.
I operate from my home in Belper, Derbyshire as seen on my website, offering clients face to face opportunities for counselling. I also work online via Zoom remotely as well.
My facilities unfortunately dont have wheel chair access or toilet facilities available.
My first session
I offer a free telephone conversation assessment first in order for you to decide if you would like to work with me and what therapy goals could be set. Therapy is personal and I want to ensure you are comfortable to work with me so we can be collaborative in the sessions.
