About me and my therapy practice
Because we are all unique I tailor therapy to you.
Thanks for clicking on my profile. As the therapeutic relationship is central to counselling, I urge you to explore my Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ page and my website to get a sense of who I am and how I work – and to look at other Counsellors profiles to help make the right choice for you...
MY EXPERIENCE includes working with Cruse Bereavement Care, a London Hospice and a Young Peoples Sports Charity where I designed mental health programmes and delivered 1-to-1 and group counselling. I also currently work with ABL: DAYHAB, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation programme where I facilitate workshops and provide group and 1-to-1 counselling.
MY TRAINING: First Class BSC (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling – and my counselling experience, combined with my global corporate background in People Development and Project Management, means I bring a broad, down-to-earth, and enriched life experience to my work.
I'm also in the process of completing training to offer creative interventions for when it's difficult to express emotions through words.
Practice description
As we are all susceptible to the challenges life throws at us, I firmly believe in working with the person, not the label, which is the ethos of how I work.
I recognise that we are all unique, where my integrative qualifications allow me to dynamically draw from several approaches to tailor therapy to appreciate your individuality and meet your needs. The clients I work with tell me that the genuine, warm and empathic approach I provide allows them to truly be themselves and explore difficult experiences and emotions without fear of being judged - this, in itself, can be a very healing process.
My first session
To help choose the right counsellor for you, I offer an optional brief free telephone conversation to get a sense of who I am and so I can learn a little more about what you would like from counselling.
Therapy is a collaboration; should you decide to go ahead, our first session will involve setting therapeutic goals together, which we will regularly review. Sessions are typically weekly, but we can agree on the frequency and duration of therapy - ultimately, you decide what works best for you. Why not get in touch now so that we can begin?

About me and my therapy practice
People often ask "is Counselling right for me?". Therapy is often described as a journey. We can liken it to driving a car where I, your counsellor, buckle up and sit right beside you as you journey toward self-discovery and healing – we are in it together. You decide the destination and I provide route options and maps and often shine the headlights on potentially significant objects and obstacles in the road. Typically, the journey begins slowly and vision is a little foggy as you learn to trust the process and become more comfortable with sharing your thoughts, emotions and past difficult life events with me.
At times the road may become rugged, dark and daunting – I will be with you to help explore and navigate the terrain. Routes may return to powerful memories that have been closed off as they are too painful to explore alone. Doing so safely together can provide insights that reduce their power, freeing you from their hold and enabling you to journey forward with your life.
There is often laughter too, and a great sense of achievement as you discover hidden strengths, resilience and take control of aspects of your life that previously felt overwhelming. Counselling ends when either we reach your destination or when you feel equipped with the tools to navigate the rest of the journey alone. So if you feel ready to begin the journey and engage in the process fully, the answer is YES; Counselling is right for you.
