About me and my therapy practice
What makes my approach unique is my ability to integrate therapeutic counselling and coaching into our work. I support you through emotional challenges while fostering personal growth and addressing both well-being and practical goals. My holistic approach is focused on creating meaningful, lasting change in your life.
I am a warm, open, and curious therapist. I offer a safe and supportive space where you feel valued and understood and where you can freely explore your emotions, challenges, and aspirations with kindness and respect.
With a background in Psychology, I bring a deep understanding of human behaviour and well-being, using evidence-based theories and strategies to help cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, navigate relationships, and work toward achievable goals.
As a person-centred and integrative counsellor, I adapt to your unique needs, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work. I use a variety of validated techniques to support your journey toward growth and healing.
I can also provide insights and tools to help you understand the connections between your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. This enhanced understanding can help you navigate challenges, manage stress, and develop healthier patterns.
When appropriate, I am able to incorporate coaching into our relationship to help you overcome obstacles and achieve measurable goals. My practical and flexible approach empowers you to improve confidence, self-worth, and your overall situation.
I offer in-person or online sessions with options for short- or long-term therapy and coaching, and flexible scheduling to suit your needs.
Practice description
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Master's degree in Organisational Psychology, and advanced certification in Coaching and Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. These qualifications enable me to integrate evidence-based theory and practice into my work, ensuring that I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my counselling practice. I also regularly engage in ongoing learning to enhance the services I offer.
My core therapeutic approach is person-centered, meaning that you are at the heart of our work together. Rather than directing or leading, I will collaborate with you to explore your concerns, understand your needs, and support you as you work towards any changes or goals you may set.
In addition, I offer an integrative approach that facilitates flexibility and collaboration, by drawing from various therapeutic models to suit your unique needs and preferences. For example, due to extra training, I can draw from techniques such as:
Rewind therapy for single-session trauma work,
Transactional analysis for exploring relationships,
Attachment theory and mindfulness, among others.
I have extensive experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and age groups, helping clients navigate a variety of challenges. My experience includes working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, as well as supporting members of the emergency services, including the police and armed forces (both active and veterans).
Each session will be unique to you, focused on what matters most to you, and progressing at a pace that suits you. I also specialize in helping clients explore personality and behavioral preferences, particularly in the context of improving both professional and personal relationships.
My first session
In our first session together, my priority is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel truly safe, deeply heard, and fully supported. I understand that reaching out for counselling can be a big step, and I want you to know that this is your time, your space, and your journey.
I work in a person-centred way, which means that this session will flow according to what feels comfortable and right for you. Whether you want to dive straight into what’s on your mind or take a bit of time to ease into the process, I’m here to listen and meet you where you are. There’s no rush, no pressure, and absolutely no judgment—just a compassionate ear and a genuine desire to understand what’s going on for you.
In this first meeting, we’ll take some time to get to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you’re ready to, and we’ll gently explore what’s brought you to counselling, what you might be hoping to gain, and how I can best support you. Together, we’ll start to shape a path forward that feels meaningful and empowering for you.
More than anything, I want you to feel supported as you take this brave step. This is your space to be you, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever challenges or questions you’re facing.
