About me and my therapy practice
I am trained in both person-centred counselling and psychodynamic approaches.
I work with the needs of my clients at the heart of the therapy I offer and I enjoy working collaboratively and thoughtfully.
My philosophy is based on the view that people are intrinsically social in their nature and that effective therapy must help individuals to function effectively in all their relationships.
I am therefore interested in providing therapy to individuals, couples and groups.
Practice description
I work in person and online with individuals, couples and small groups. My face to face practice is located in Headingley, Leeds and in Drighlington which is situated between Leeds and Bradford.
I offer individual person-centred therapy as well as psychodynamic/psychoanalytic sessions.
For individual therapy I would seek to discuss your needs by phone or online to explore how we could potentially work together.
Subsequently, I would arrange for the therapy to start at a mutually convenient time and day. All relevant details would be included in a therapy contract which I would provide to you.
You may have weekly or fortnightly therapy, or indeed, you might seek a single-session of therapy with a specific focus.
For couples work I like to offer an exploratory session where all parties can explore how relationship therapy might be beneficial and decide if further sessions are required.
I also conduct a weekly face to face analytic therapy group in Drighlington and Headingley. For group therapy I would meet you on an individual basis first and gradually introduce you into the group itself. I do ask for potential group members to commit to a minimum of 40 weeks in the group.
All the therapies I offer are open ended.
My first session
For one to one therapy I typically have a phone or zoom call with a new client to discuss their ideas about therapy - this brief assessment session is free.
For couples, relationship and group therapies typically charge my usual session fee and use the first session as a way of getting to know each other and explore how therapy might be helpful.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified supervisor working online and face-to-face in Headingley (Leeds) and Drighlington (Between Leeds and Bradford).
I hold an Integrative Supervision Diploma and I can offer supervision of individual, couple and group supervision.
Practice description
I can offer individual supervision as well as group supervision both in person in Headingley and Drighlington as well as online.
Supervision sessions can last form one to two hours depending on the supervisee's requirements.
Supervision groups would have a maximum of four supervisees.
I recognise the different need of supervises depending upon their level of experience and this will. influence how I might work as a supervisee. I endeavour to create a safe and supportive environment where the thinking happens on a co-creative context and where supervisees and supervisor can think together about all aspects of counselling and psychotherapy.
My first session
I would typically have an initial conversation with any potential supervisee to discuss how their supervision needs can be met and to see if I can match those requirements.
