About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with young adults from yr 11 onwards, personality disorders, sexual abuse, binge eating, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, trauma, bereavement, generalised anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, low-self esteem, depression, stress, existential crisis, self harm and life transitions.

I adapt my practise to each individual's needs and can provide strategies with dealing with overwhelming emotions through incorporating techniques like (DBT) Dialectical Behavioural Therapy aimed at guiding a client through implementing skills to alleviate and tolerate distress as well as working with you to come up with strategies aimed at helping with improving interpersonal relationships whether it be romantic, work related or familial.

I also believe that stress takes a toll on the body physiology and can have lasting long-term negative impact. With a keen interest in the field of neuropsychology and prescribed drugs. I aim to help my clients gain some tools and knowledge on how to reset their bodies in order to feel more relaxed.

After a free 15-20 minute phone consultation. I will set up a session online/face to face. The first session is a 50 minute assessment which is a general conversation to find out more about you and what you feel you need help with. This will give me an idea of how i may be able to assist you. It will also give you a chance to see if you feel comfortable with working with me as i understand finding the right therapist who you find comfortable with working with is important, there is no obligation to continue therapy if you do not feel like i am the right fit for you.

By the end of the session we can both come to a decision on how many sessions you'd like to start off with.
