About me and my therapy practice
I work with my clients to uncover the unconscious conflicts that may be holding them back from living their best life. By utilizing a therapeutic approach rooted in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic perspectives, my goal is to help patients understand how their early relationships and experiences are shaping their present-day thoughts and behaviors. I believe that examining the unconscious, understanding how one's experiences have affected life, and finding new meanings for conflicted thought processes is the key to dealing with emotional pain and mental conflicts.
My services are uniquely tailored for individuals who are on a quest for a deeper comprehension of their inner selves, their actions, and their emotional states. For those who find themselves grappling with persistent issues or confronted by particular hurdles in life, the therapeutic approaches of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy offer a haven—a secure and nurturing space dedicated to exploration and personal development.
Whether you're battling with long-standing psychological patterns or encountering specific obstacles that life throws your way, these methodologies can illuminate the path to understanding and resolution. Psychoanalysis delves into the unconscious mind, unraveling the complexities of your thoughts and feelings, while psychotherapy provides a platform for addressing and working through immediate concerns.
Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth is a brave and rewarding endeavor. I am here to guide you through the transformative process of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. Together, in a collaborative and supportive partnership, we will strive towards unlocking your potential for a healthier, more balanced, and fulfilling life.
Practice description
Psychoanalysis: This is a more intensive and in-depth treatment approach, involving 2 to 5 sessions weekly over a prolonged period, possibly months or even years. The primary goal of psychoanalysis is to explore the deep-seated roots of psychological symptoms. Through this exploration, patients gain a comprehensive understanding of their internal conflicts, unconscious thoughts, and recurring patterns in behavior. This method relies heavily on the relationship between the patient and the therapist, using techniques such as dream analysis and free association to uncover hidden emotions and repressed experiences.
Psychotherapy: Unlike psychoanalysis, psychotherapy typically involves meeting once a week and focuses more directly on alleviating present symptoms rather than extensively exploring their origins. This form of therapy is designed to help patients navigate through specific life challenges, such as coping with the emotional turmoil of a divorce, managing career crises, or adjusting to significant life transitions. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy employs the same technique approach of psychoanalysis without deep exploration of unconscious processes.
