About me and my therapy practice
As a qualified psychotherapist, I am registered member with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) and I'm also an affiliate member of the British Menopause Society (BMS).
My therapeutic way of working can be described as integrative, which blends psychoanalytic, existential and humanistic theory and practice.
Essentially, this allows for a flexible therapeutic approach, whereby the client and therapist explore the nature of how we relate to each other and the world around us, which is an integral part of the therapeutic process.
It is my belief that the client will determine what they bring to therapy which can be helpful when someone is trying to gain a greater understanding of their self and how they relate to others.
Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I worked for many years at a senior level in both the public and private sectors within the human resources profession. I particularly enjoyed the inter-personal relationship side of my HR role and this led me to make my own personal transition into psychotherapy as a profession.
My psychotherapy and counselling training was undertaken at the School of Psychotherapy & Psychology at Regent’s University London. The training also included clinical practice in both the NHS and charity sectors where I volunteered as part of the bereavement counselling team for Mind. Currently, alongside my private practice, I continue to work within a counselling centre in Islington which provides low cost counselling services within the community.

Sessions can be either via video link or face-to-face in my private practice located in Highams Park, E4.
Often, we are uncertain about why we are feeling the way we are feeling.
Although therapy doesn’t promise to give us certainty, or cure all our worries and concerns, what it does provide is a confidential, non-judgmental space in which we can talk about the things that may have been too difficult or uncomfortable to talk to anyone about before.
It is my belief that each of my clients has a unique story to tell. Therapy can often be a useful place to do this, as it provides the right conditions for a shared exploration to take place.
When we get the opportunity to tell our story, we can often get a much clearer sense of our own position, which can allow for something else to come into view, or another position to emerge.
My first session
I am able to offer an initial telephone consultation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, my approach and I'll answer any questions you may have.
I am able to offer a free 15 -minute initial telephone consultation.
50-minute therapy sessions cost £75.
Sessions can either be on a short-term basis or over a longer period of time, depending on what it is that brings you to therapy. They can be via video link or face-to-face in my private practice, which is a 10 minute walk from Highams Park station on the Overground.
