About me and my therapy practice
I work in a number of ways and settings, to suit my clients' needs. Person-centred counselling is non-judgemental and supportive - it provides a safe space for you to explore negative experiences or feelings and, ultimately, to limit any power they might be having over you. I work face to face, on Zoom, or in person and outdoors. Some clients prefer traditional, face-to-face sessions, others find the experience of 'walking and talking' really freeing. I also use bird-watching and listening walks as another route to mindfulness and connection, which can be especially powerful for clients suffering from anxiety, overwhelm and depression.
Practice description
Face-to-Face, in person counselling.
Online, via private Zoom sessions
Nature walks - 'Walk & Talk' therapy
Telephone counselling
I am keen to tailor sessions to what each of my clients need - everyone is slightly different. I have flexibility around daytime and evening sessions.
My first session
I offer short, medium and long-term counselling. To begin with, I offer an initial, complementary consultation on the phone, during which I invite you to tell me a little about what you hope to gain from counselling. Clients can say as much or as little as they are comfortable with at this point. I will keep you safe during this call - I appreciate this may be the first time you have reached out to a counsellor and voiced the things which are troubling you. If I think I can support you, and you like the sound of how I work, we will book a weekly session time which is yours for as many weeks as you wish.
