About me and my therapy practice
I work as an integrative counsellor which means I use a combination of approaches to make sense of what you bring and tailor those approaches which include psychodynamic, transpersonal, relational, polyvagal and humanistic to your personal needs. I aim to offer a holistic listening, supportive and collaborative relationship to incorporate your mental and emotional health in a safe, calm, nurturing and confidential environment, allowing you to talk through any difficulties or issues to identify ways in which you can improve or make changes.
Practice description
As a counselling professional I am dedicated to listening to you and working alongside you on your journey. Many people are experiencing anxiety or depression as a result of the pandemic, while for others, existing or underlying problems may feel more pressing. We can all feel overwhelmed at times. Sometimes it’s hard to see how our situation can improve and we continue to repeat patterns that no longer help us.
Counselling can help to support you when life gets difficult. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, shame, stress, trauma, health or family problems, even taking the first step and talking about it can be an enormous help and can begin to ease your mind.
My first session
I offer an initial free short zoom meeting, allowing us to explore your needs and to see if we can work together. It is important you feel safe and comfortable in my company to allow us to build a trusting working alliance. After that, weekly sessions will last 50 minutes.
I work with young adults from 18 years through to older adults
II am able to offer flexible hours, both daytime and evening either by telephone, Zoom or face-to-face sessions in a safe and calm environment, from my private therapy room.
