Availability

I currently have some availability on Tuesday afternoons for new clients.

I offer counselling for children and young people from the age of 11, in addition to counselling with adults.

I also work with neurodivergence, in particular with autism and ADHD.  I am happy to adapt the space and how we approach counselling to cater for any neurodivergent needs.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes it can feel as though you're just keeping your head above water. There may be the felt responsibility that others are relying on you.  You may be someone others think of as successful, but this isn't how things feel and you are living your life based on what you feel others think of you.  You might find that you are quicker to lose your temper with those you love, or find it difficult to switch off and find space to relax.  You may be experiencing a loss and finding it difficult to adjust or cope, with things feeling out of your control.

These are some of the signs of stress and overwhelm. If left unchecked, they can lead to anxiety and depression.

I offer counselling for adults, and children from the age of 11, working to help you understand these emotions and the root causes, finding a better understanding of yourself and positive ways to deal with difficult feelings. I work to help you feel safe, understood and listened to without judgement.

My approach is person-centred, recognising that you know yourself best and helping you to know yourself better. I will work with you to build your resilience and your sense of who you are, supporting you to find a way forward that is right for you, and helping you to feel more empowered and in control of the things in your life that you would like to change.

I am CPCAB Level 5 qualified to work with adults, and children and young people from the age of 11 and have experience of counselling with national and local charities. I use she/her pronouns.

I have over 20 years of teaching experience and working in a variety of roles in the education system

Practice description

You are an individual and the way I work puts you at the centre of the journey we will take together. I offer a personalised approach, which adapts to how you feel and what you need.

I am qualified in and offer online or telephone counselling.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute initial online, telephone or face-to-face session so that we can meet and talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to change. This is an opportunity to get to know me without any obligation to see if you would like to work with me.
