About me and my therapy practice
Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed by negative thoughts and feelings or feel stuck in unhealthy patterns of behaviour that you can’t break out of? Do you ever want to change your perspective on a situation but don’t know how to? If so, I can help you explore how and why you feel trapped by your habitual patterns of experiencing the world. And drawing on this awareness, I can support you in adopting new attitudes and behaviours in tune with how you want to be.
One area in particular I work in is helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of relationships, fostering authentic connections that are both meaningful and enduring. At the heart of my approach is the belief that relationships thrive when we can truly see and be seen by one another, free from the limiting patterns and beliefs we may have carried from our past.
In our work together, we explore the roots of relational challenges—whether they stem from childhood experiences, ingrained habits, or unspoken fears. By understanding how these patterns shape your thoughts, emotions, and actions, we create space for change. You’ll learn to notice automatic responses, pause, and reflect, opening up opportunities to choose new ways of relating that align with your deeper hopes and values.
Practice description
My background is in Gestalt therapy, a holistic form of treatment that engages not only your mind but your entire body and being with one overall aim. To raise your awareness of the world as you experience it. This might seem like an obvious thing but we often have trauma and unfinished business from the past that influences the meaning we make of our present experience. In these circumstances the goal of therapy is to shine a light on what unprocessed feelings might be affecting the way we look at the world and invite us to make new meaning of our reality.
Where appropriate, I integrate somatic investigation and body therapy into sessions to help clients access deeper layers of self-awareness and healing. I encourage clients to explore how emotions and relational dynamics are stored and expressed in the body. This embodied approach allows us to move beyond purely cognitive insights and into a richer, more holistic understanding of ourselves and our relationships.
My first session
I offer a free Zoom consultation initially so that we can assess if we are a good fit for each other and what sort of arrangement to commit to. The purpose of this initial session is for me to get an idea of why you are seeking therapy and for you to ask me questions about how I envisage working together.

Alongside general clinical practice, I also specialise in treating clients from the creative industries. I work by using a range of techniques informed by the latest reseach in neuroscience and psychology including embodiment, enactment, creative expression, narrative sequecing and emotional focussing to explore what your fundamental values, beliefs and needs are.Practice description
One of my specialist interests is working with client's in the arts, media and creative industries. I practiced formerly as a counsellor to musician's and actors at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Previous to that, I was a documentary producer and director for the BBC, ITV and Channel Four (both staff and freelance) where I personally experienced and learnt to cope with the highs and lows of producing and performing under public scrutiny. I am also qualified as a media lawyer so I have a wide practical understanding of the arts and entertainment business.
