About me and my therapy practice
I am able to provide a confidential and non - judgemental space. I am based in Hastings Town Centre where I have my own room. My aim is to establish a working relationship where you feel listened to and able to work through the reasons for seeking counselling.
Counselling gives us the opportunity to talk about ourselves, this can help us to understand what we are going through and it can validate experiences. Here we can connect to our feelings to understand them better.
I am trained counsellor in Transactional Analysis where I hold a space for reflection and making meaning of what is brought into the counselling room. This can help to improve upon our emotional health and overall wellbeing. My practice is trauma informed where I use various techniques to help with anxiety symptoms.
The therapeutic process can help to identify changes we wish to make and how to implement them. There may be times where we self sabotage or feel stuck; sessions can help to work though these situations. I am currently working toward UKCP registration in Integrative Psychotherapy.
Practice description
Individual counselling
I offer individuals 50 minute sessions, usually on a weekly basis. Sessions are based on need and reviewed regularly. The first initial assessment session allows us to meet and get a feel for working together. Here we can talk about your reasons for seeking counselling and decide what is appropriate going forward. I can answer any questions you may have, sessions are paced to what you may need.
Couple counselling
For couples I offer 60 minutes per session. Couple counselling can help to identify issues within in a relationship. It allows each individual to voice their concerns and work toward goals set within the session.
My practice
I am a registered counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) and an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling and Psychotherapists Society (NCPS). I am in regular supervision with a UKCP registered psychotherapist. As part of my practice I uphold the ethical guidelines of my member organisations.
