About me and my therapy practice
Psychotherapy nurtures a place to be curious and make changes to what may feel daunting, over-looked or stuck. I work sensitively and collaboratively to help you to reconnect with your emotions, relationships, body and intuition and manage the challenges that life throws at us.
I am an integrative therapist. The benefit of this approach is that it allows me to draw on a range of modalities (body, existential, psychodynamic, relational, humanistic) and theories, to flex and accommodate the uniqueness of each client. I am interested in the breadth of relationships we have, including how the client experiences the world, relates to themselves, past experiences and to myself.
My approach is trauma-informed and accordingly I aim to create a trusting, open-minded, non-judgemental space to explore what is going on for you, and to move at a safe pace towards understanding and healing.
I trained at the Minster Centre, a leading, UKCP registered, integrative training institute. Alongside completing an MA, I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My areas of specialist interest and research include chronic pain (especially gynaecological), class and fertility-related challenges. I volunteered as a Samaritan for over five years in central London and with Mind for three years. Besides private practice, I offer Boxing Therapy to adolescents from disadvantaged backgrounds in an inner-city gym and charity.
Practice description
I work with adults and offer short-term (6-12 sessions), mid-term (6 months to a year) and open-ended therapy, online and in person.
My online and face to face fee is £65, with a few concession places.
My first session
Approaching therapy can be daunting and nervy/exciting. I aim to ease this step.
I offer an initial, complimentary twenty minute session to briefly explore what’s brought you here, any expectations, fears and questions. From here we will discuss how to proceed and whether we feel like a good fit. Please email to set this up.
Thereafter, we will choose a consistent, weekly time and way to meet.
