About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor providing short and long-term therapy.  Whatever you're feeling or experiencing, whether you're overwhelmed, distressed, anxious, unhappy, confused, frustrated, despairing or stuck, therapy really can help make a difference.

I work with individual adults, couples and young people (age 18+) from any background, culture, faith, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.

My approach is relational and collaborative, offering a warm, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment to help you explore the issues or experiences affecting you. In doing this, you can learn more positive ways of dealing with challenges, increase your awareness and understanding, discover new perspectives, build your confidence and resilience and make the changes you want to.

I believe that building an honest, trusting relationship is essential to successful outcomes in therapy. We will work in partnership to untangle what feels complicated, messy or difficult. I will listen attentively and be alongside you in exploring your issues and experiences. I will work at your pace and with whatever you choose to bring, supporting you to the best of my ability.

I have experience working with those presenting with stress,  anxiety and panic; relationship problems; problems around eating or sleeping; loss and bereavement; lack of motivation; low self-esteem; self harm and suicidal thoughts; dissociation; issues arising from boarding school, trauma and abuse, and those with diagnosed conditions such as depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Alongside my private work, I have experience working in an agency with those affected by sexual assault and abuse, and in a secondary school offering counselling to pupils and staff.
