About me and my therapy practice
I allow you to choose how you would like to work with me. My room is your space; however if you need help and support on how to voice your thoughts, I will offer you guidance to enable you to say what is important to you and allow you to be heard.
I am an accredited member of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ) and I work in accordance with their ethical framework.
I have my own private practice and had over 13 years experience working with children with special education needs in a state secondary school; I have also worked with adults, as a volunteer at Phoenix Counselling in Feltham, dealing with Domestic Abuse; trauma; anxiety and much more. Furthermore I have worked at Place2be at Reach secondary school in Feltham counselling children aged 7-14 years.
Practice description
I would love to discover a way for you to be able to cope with new situations and challenges; live a more productive and satisfying life; improve relationships; decrease anxiety and much more; please contact me if you would let me try and work with you to help make your life more complete.
I have experience and knowledge of many different theoretical techniques, but I believe the therapy should match the client and therefore I will use part of an approach to fit the client and not try and fit the client to a specific theoretical doctrine.
I have numerous testimonials from past clients, these might resonate with you, please visit my website: www.juliebourne.co.uk to view these.

Your first session will be a complete session. We will have a conversation of why you have come to see me.

An important reason why you might choose to seek help includes finding it difficult to cope with your thoughts and feelings and those thoughts and feelings having an impact on your day-to-day life.
It's always OK to ask for help.
Practice description
The majority of my experience is with children and young people, but I enjoy working with adults too. I have over thirteen years' experience at a local secondary school, working with students with anxiety, autism, challenging behaviour and much more; as well as experience volunteering, working with adults at Phoenix Counselling Services. Additionally, I held a placement at REACH academy in Feltham working with children aged 7 to 14.
Seeking help for a mental health problem can be a really important step towards getting and staying well, but it can be hard to know how to start and where to turn to. It's common to feel unsure about seeking support for your mental health, but it really is always OK to ask for help.
My first session
In our first session, I will run through a quick assessment and then if you are happy to continue, I will give you a quick overview of my contract, which you are welcome to take away with you and return the following week and then, if you feel comfortable, our first session will begin, there and then; usually with me gathering a bit of context and history around your situation. This first session is chargeable.
I don't limit the amount of sessions we share, it is up to you to decide this, but usually my clients and I both know when they are ready to move on.
