About me and my therapy practice

The experience of coming for therapy is an opportunity for you to discover for the first or subsequent time in life that you can let go of all the judgements, the fear and hesitation, and begin to talk about what is bothering you. We become wounded within a sense of connectedness - in families, relationships, friendships and society - and paradoxically it is within a sense of connectedness that we can begin to heal.

Individual Psychotherapy

What often brings clients to individual psychotherapy is a sense of conflict within their relationships or within themselves or unresolved trauma, along with the desire for the suffering either to be resolved or to be made meaning of. I believe that there is no such thing as 'fixing' people. The goal of therapy is to become more conscious of all that happens within an individual and within their relationships, so that from this new sense of becoming awakened, a person can make choices to change the course of their lives.

The effort in therapy lies in being open to discovering the answer that would naturally arise from you, out of your own inherent wisdom that you perhaps are not yet able to see.

Couples Counselling

People often come to relationship therapy when there is a lot that they have tried amongst themselves, and nothing seems to work to make two people understand each other.

The type of psychotherapy I offer aims to facilitate a space for you so that you can get a deeper understanding of what happens within the unspoken space between both of you, and how your individual life histories - more often than not - continue to play a role in influencing how you relate to each other. My focus in relationship psychotherapy is twofold: to understand how your past shapes your present, and to understand what is happening between both of you in the here and now.

Availability

I currently have spaces available in Online Group Supervision, which is open to Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Trainees. Practitioners from all modalities are welcome.

About me and my therapy practice

Group supervision with me is an invitation for you to see the richness and the depth that a group can give each participant when trying to understand the unconscious processes of your clients, and of your therapeutic relationships. A group offers a multi-dimensional picture of what a client brings to therapy in the unspoken space.

Group supervision can:

  • Cut down the isolation of being in private practice
  • Give a sense of being human when faced with the challenges of clinical work
  • Feel part of a community of therapists
  • Help you learn about wide ranging clinical presentations by listening to others’ experiences.

Counts Towards: Your Monthly Clinical Supervision or Continued Professional Development (CPD). Group supervision with me will cover you for your work with Individuals, Couples and Groups.

Supervision with me is about being able to think the unthinkable, see the unseeable and to learn to work skilfully with what is challenging. I believe that supervision should help you feel more skilled, confident and capable in doing the work that you love. My approach, at its core is relational, psychodynamic and trauma-informed.

About Me

I am a Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist with experience of working in the charity sector, and in private practice with individuals and couples. I carried out my Psychiatric Observational Placement at the Baldock Manor Hospital, Hertfordshire, learning about the treatment and management of care for patients in a PICU setting.

I have post-qualification training in Trauma Therapy and Relationship Therapy.

Supervision Training

I am currently pursuing an advanced training in supervision, at the Institute for Group Analysis, London, with a psychodynamic orientation. I will be writing a qualifying paper at the end of my training, and by seeking supervision with me, you understand that I will be writing about our work by fully anonymising any details about you or your clients to respect everyone’s privacy.
