About me and my therapy practice
I am a person centred counsellor and supervisor and this means that I do not have a set agenda, but that I will work with you on the issues which are most important for your wellbeing. My method of counselling provides the honesty and openness which allows you to find trust in yourself and begin to live with a greater awareness and happiness. I focus primarily on the present and the future while recognising the influence the past has on you.
I am continually learning and experience major themes around deconstructing conditioned learning and showing compassion towards yourself. If you would like to have a chat we can arrange that prior to you deciding if we would work well together.
Practice description
The person centred approach is built around the client having the answers themselves and that counselling is a way of facilitating a way forward which addresses the things you feel are holding you back at present. It will be either in person or on zoom and a session lasts for 50 minutes. I recommend using a journal in parallel with the sessions for you to write what comes up for you between sessions and have a space to reflect. The number of sessions will vary and we will have a review at week 6 to see how you fell things are progressing.
My first session
During the first session it is useful to discuss what your aims are for counselling and then we have a focus and can look for solutions, bring ideas to the table to assist you.

About me and my therapy practice
I trained in counselling supervision with the COSCA accredited Diploma in Clinical Supervision led by Andy Gray. I see supervisees in training or with many years experience, exploring the dynamics and direction of client work.
Supervision is an enlightening and deeply rich learning space where all the elements come together - your work setting, your modality, your responses, triggers and decisions related to your practice. I am here to support you with all personal and ethical aspects of being a counsellor or trainee and offer a relaxing space where you will find an encouraging practitioner.
Practice description
As a trainee counsellor you will have supervision every 5 clients and will want to discuss the session work in detail. This may include ethical issues and you will develop a discerning take and knowledge of how to respond to ethical matters.
I will support and encourage you on your current work and also on how you would like to progress professionally. As a person-centred counsellor I work in a relational and collaborative way to achieve a better understanding of client work.

I offer a free half hour session to see whether we would suit working together.
