I am Jani, a MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ fully qualified multicultural counsellor, trained in Gestalt therapy and Embodied therapy - with a background in yoga, mindfulness and Eastern philosophy.
My approach
We will work together to identify the best course of therapy to help you lead a more satisfying, joyful life - honouring all your parts in a supportive and caring way.
​My therapy style is interactive, non-judgmental and collaborative. I provide a confidential and caring counselling service tailored to your individual needs, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. With awareness and through mindfulness, we will work towards developing a deeper understanding of your needs and how to act on these.
Together, in therapy, we can work on reconnecting with the 'self' in a way that further increases levels of awareness and acceptance. In addition, we will be able to find ways of developing self-regulating skills - using Gestalt and Somatic techniques.
Practice description
Besides my commitment and perseverance, I know personally what it's like to be in a dark place and how opening up in therapy can really help. Through therapy I reconnected with myself and learned how to connect with others in a healthy way.
Based on my personal experience, I believe that the therapeutic relationship developed between the client and therapist has deep restorative effects. I trust that through counselling one can find support, a safe space to process feelings, an invitation to challenge thoughts and perspectives as well as increased self-awareness and self-regulation through emotional resilience.
