About me and my therapy practice
The mind is a fascinating aspect of the human body. Often it can appear not to be our friend, to be tricking us or causing distress. Counselling is an opportunity to try to relieve mental and often physical pain. The mind, body connection and how our thoughts can impinge upon our mental and physical health is at the centre of how I work. Chronic pain, MS, ME, migraine and anxiety are some of the conditions which may be managed more effectively with the help of counselling. I have a keen interest in neuroplasticity.
I welcome each client as a unique human being, to use therapy to bring change into their life. When we slow down and give ourselves care and attention, we can begin to unclutter our minds. Our feelings can change along with behaviours and beliefs that could be holding us back in life.
It takes courage to contact a therapist. I would like to assure you that the space I create is one of caring, respect and is non-judgmental.
This is time to be yourself. When this happens, it begins a process of self-discovery and brings opportunities for change. Serious conversations happen in therapy but there are also times of laughter, joy and celebration.

About me and my therapy practice
If only we could empty our heads, tidy up our thoughts and then carry on with life.
Time and space can help us to get the same result. I welcome each client as a unique human being, to use therapy to bring change into their life. When we slow down and give ourselves care and attention, we can begin to unclutter our minds. Our feelings can change along with behaviours and beliefs that could be holding us back in life.
Some people just like to talk, others find it useful to explore their life in words, pictures or music. I have been trained in several techniques and we can decide together what is best for you.

Practice description
Since Covid more clients have moved to online counselling. I have completed a Certificate in Online Counselling to ensure that I am fully skilled to work in this way.
Many clients find online work more convenient and that being in their own home is less stressful and helps to reduce any anxiety surrounding counselling.
I am happy to weave together face to face and online work. Sessions can also be weekly or fortnightly.
