About me and my therapy practice
Finding a therapist starts with you and your needs. You may arrive with a sense of overwhelm, loss or anxiety, perhaps desiring change but without knowing how or believing you can. We can work together to explore how you feel, think and behave, and find a way to begin your healing.
I am a Person-Centred Psychotherapist and Counsellor, able to offer a range of short and long term work to clients who are facing a difficulty in their life and ability to function, or a desire to understand themselves better. I believe that we all have the potential to grow and heal, but that when we are interrupted by trauma, loss or low self-esteem, that capacity seems an impossibility. With the help of a compassionate but objective relationship in therapy, we can work together to bring you back to your authentic self. I will provide an open, safe and non-judgemental environment for us to work in, all I ask is that you bring a commitment to be actively curious about yourself and your circumstances.
Practice description
I am able to work with adults and couples, as well as those training to be psychotherapists themselves. I have a broad experience of short and long term work, presenting issues and ages, diagnoses and personalities. For me, the most important element of therapy is the capacity to build a relationship together, and the shared belief that change is possible. I work with what you choose to bring; what I bring to the relationship is myself and my expertise in therapy. You remain the expert in your own life and able to make the changes you seek.
I completed Psychotherapy training (MSc, Level 7) at the Sherwood Institute in Nottingham with Distinction, I am a registered member of the UKCP, the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ (MÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), and a Graduate member of SPTI . I am insured to work online and face to face, and have several supervisory relationships to help me safeguard my practice and clients. I am currently working both online and in person, with face to face appointments available at my Loughborough office throughout the week.
I consider myself a research-practitioner, in that I am seeking to explore how therapy and clients work on theoretical as well as personal levels. I also provide academic supervision for trainee therapists and counsellors. For more information, please see my website.
I charge £55 per session, with a reduced rate for those in psychotherapy training of £45. Couples therapy is £65 per session.
My first session
Following an inquiry from you, I will arrange an initial session to find out more about you and your needs, and to allow you to consider if I am the right therapist for you. We will then contract to work together, usually weekly, at a time that suits us both.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-centred supervisor.
My philosophy about supervision is that it should be relational, promote growth and lead to collaborative enquiry.
My ideal for supervision is that it should support the development of the therapist, at all stages.
My theory for supervision is based on the 6 necessary and sufficient conditions of Person-centred therapy, governed by the assumption that supervision is shaped by the needs of the supervisee but that the relationship is shaped by us both.
