About me and my therapy practice

Trauma and related issues are at the heart of a lot of the work I do with most clients. That might be Racial Trauma, or the impacts of living in our patriarchal, capitalist, oppressive society on people from GSRD, disabled or other marginalised communities.

It might be related to a client's experience of abuse (recent or historical), loss, or attachment issues. Or it could show up as the manifestation of unprocessed trauma by way of addiction, or family, parenting or interpersonal relationship issues, for example.

Whatever you're holding, my aim is to provide a safe and healing space to help you both unburden and process.

Practice description

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

Trauma sensitive, culturally competent, intersectional, and political - my client work is focused on addressing the impacts of living as intersectional members of marginalised communities.  My private practice and charity work is complemented by my passion and commitment to political and social justice activism; I believe the revolution lies in dismantling the system externally, as well as unpacking and processing how it impacts us individually and manifests itself within.

Far from the stereotypical blank canvas, my process is intersubjective, informative, relaxed and open. I consciously work to be considerate of social context & wider factors impacting clients, in order to provide a fair and equal service to all.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether we have outwardly seeming successful careers and family lives, or are still working out what we want our lives to look like, in today’s society we all increasingly need a space to share, feel, process and breathe - away from the stresses and pressures of our daily lives.

In my private practice I aim to provide just that.

Trauma and related issues are at the heart of a lot of the work I do with most clients. This might be related to clients’ experiences of abuse (recent or historical), loss or attachment. It might show up as the manifestation of unprocessed trauma by way of addiction, for example, or maybe in family, parenting and interpersonal relationship issues.

It might be as a result of experiencing racial trauma, or the impacts of living in our patriarchal, capitalist, oppressive society on those with GSRD (Gender, Sexual, Relationship Diversity) or other marginalised identities.

Whatever you’re holding, my aim is to provide a socially conscious, safe and healing space to help bring the unconscious to the conscious and to unpack, unburden and process.

I work collaboratively with all clients to identify the needs, aims and intentions of the work from the start, whilst maintaining a flexible and evolving dynamic throughout the process, based on how you feel and what you want.

In the therapy room I'm open and transparent about theories and studies that might inform our understanding or perspective - sharing them with you so that there is no mystery or ‘psychobabble’ - you see what I see.
