About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes be so difficult that we feel overwhelmed. The decision to seek counselling may feel like a very big step but it can be a positive way forward.
My aim is to create a space for you to explore anything you may feel troubled by. A space where you feel you can be honest and open, where you can talk in confidence and where no-one will judge you. I believe I can offer you warmth, kindness, honesty, and compassion.
My role as your counsellor is to help you to explore the feelings and emotions that are often related to your current or past life experiences. I can offer you the opportunity to reflect on what is happening in your world and to support you therapeutically to look at alternative ways of coping and dealing with issues that impact negatively on your life.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist. Person-centred counselling is non-directive. I don’t tell you what to do or what to think. It is client-led and based on your needs. You tell me what you need and what you want to achieve. We then work together.
Everyone is different and my approach is to consider only your needs.
I have experience working in a community agency, sixth form colleges, schools and in the private sector.
I have worked with clients who have been struggling with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, low mood, bereavement, parenting issues, family and relationship issues, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, sexuality.
