About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes, life's stresses and challenges can really weigh us down and make us feel anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, sad, angry ... Perhaps you feel like life is passing you by or it is a succession of struggles and you just cannot feel any joy or life inside you. You may want things to change for yourself but you don't know where to start or are afraid of what might happen if you tried.
I have experience working with a range of issues, such as bereavement, life transitions, anxiety, stress, overwhelm, trauma .... I am here to listen and try to understand your reality without judging so that we can, together, find ways for you to thrive, rather than just survive.
I work with people from all sorts of cultural backgrounds and having lived in several different countries myself, I understand what it can be like to live far away from home or in a culture that is not your own.
I currently provide counselling sessions in private practice, in a local Bereavement Service and through an employee assistance programme.
My background is integrative, which simply means that I draw from different ideas and techniques to support my work. Some of the ideas and tools I work with are:
attachment theory and childhood formative relationships,
uncovering the unconscious thoughts and feelings that have taken posession of the driver's seat,
existential dialogue around what your core values are,
creative techniques and anxiety reducing tools inspired from a variety of sources, including EFT (emotional freedom technique).
But above all, I provide a space where you can discuss what is troubling you in confidence and without judgement. My aim is to help you reconnect with your life force and make any changes you need to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
I am a registered practitioner for Cigna, Vitality Health and Aetna Global.

Practice description
My face to face sessions are held at The Practice in East Molesey. Please note that my therapy room is located on the first floor and that there is no lift in the building. Free parking is available nearby, please enquire. I participate in The Practice low cost therapy service, Community Counselling Service (CCS).
I also offer Walk & Talk therapy in Bushy Park / Home Park and Richmond Park. Walk and Talk can be a great way to have your counselling session if you like the outdoors or want to reconnect with nature. It could also suit you if you like processing your thoughts and feelings while walking - or simply if you are looking for "another" way to do therapy.
I offer sessions online (Zoom).
My first session
