Finding life difficult is part of being human and there are times when these feelings can become overwhelming. Anxiety, grief and bereavement, relationship issues, low mood, low self-esteem, life transitions such as the menopause or a sense of stuckness are just some of the more challenging aspects of what life can feel like every now and then. There is no shame in finding things difficult and during these periods, it can be good to talk to an objective and experienced therapist.
Seeking counselling support and finding a counsellor that feels ‘right’, can be a daunting experience. Despite this potential initial hurdle, accessing therapeutic support is a positive and courageous first step towards helping yourself move forward in the direction of your choice. It’s OK to admit to needing a helping hand.
I offer a professional and ethical counselling service to explore your current issues. I will not judge you or tell you what to do but will gently and compassionately help you find your way and make sense of what is right for you. Sharing your experience in a confidential, safe, warm, and trusting environment can help to lighten the load when it becomes too uncomfortable to carry alone. Gaining an understanding of why we think and behave in certain ways can often be a fundamental part of changing how we present ourselves to the world.

Accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), I adhere to their ethical frameworks. In addition to my private practice, I am an assessor and volunteer counsellor for Pembrokeshire Counselling Service and a Bereavement Support Volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care. In accordance with my commitment to clients, ethics, and good practice, I receive monthly supervision to support my work.
Aligning with the values of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and the NCPS, I plan, record, review and reflect upon my continuing professional development. I aim to conduct my work safely, effectively, and legally within my evolving scope of practice.

This initial meeting gives us the opportunity to ensure we’re a good fit. During the first session there will be some paperwork and assessments to complete, and this important process will allow me to understand where you are starting from and where you would like to reach on your counselling journey.
I will listen to your story and ask relevant questions to gain insight and understanding on how you make sense of your life. Working collaboratively, we will explore hopes, goals and what you would like to change. My role as therapist is not to advise or influence your beliefs, choices, and decisions but rather to be at your side as you find the solutions that feel right for you.
Feelings of embarrassment and shame can often present barriers to accessing counselling support. With this in the forefront of my mind, I work with warmth, compassion, and care.
The first session will lead us to decide if we would like to work together. Counselling support lasts as long as you need it, there are no set number of sessions.
Our first meeting will not commit you to further sessions unless you feel it is right for you.

Accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ), I adhere to their ethical frameworks. In addition to my private practice, I am an assessor and volunteer counsellor for Pembrokeshire Counselling Service and a Bereavement Support Volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care. In accordance with my commitment to clients, ethics, and good practice, I receive monthly supervision to support my work.
Aligning with the values of the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ and the NCPS, I plan, record, review and reflect upon my continuing professional development. I aim to conduct my work safely, effectively, and legally within my evolving scope of practice.

My first session
This initial meeting gives us the opportunity to ensure we’re a good fit. During the first session there will be some paperwork and assessments to complete, and this important process will allow me to understand where you are starting from and where you would like to reach on your counselling journey.
I will listen to your story and ask relevant questions to gain insight and understanding on how you make sense of your life. Working collaboratively, we will explore hopes, goals and what you would like to change. My role as therapist is not to advise or influence your beliefs, choices, and decisions but rather to be at your side as you find the solutions that feel right for you.
Feelings of embarrassment and shame can often present barriers to accessing counselling support. With this in the forefront of my mind, I work with warmth, compassion, and care. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship will put you at ease so that we can tentatively explore difficulties and gain insight into your psychological process and uncover patterns of behaviour.
The first session will lead us to decide if we would like to work together. Counselling support lasts as long as you need it, there are no set number of sessions.
