About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes it helps to talk to someone in a space that’s just for you. If something feels overwhelming or if a problem doesn’t seem to be getting any better it can help to talk - and to be really listened to by someone who is warm, empathic and non-judgemental.
I have worked with people who have difficulties with anxiety, depression, grief, childhood abuse, bullying, rape, post-traumatic stress, work-related stress, sexuality and relationships. I work with adults and am experienced in short-term counselling as well as longer term work. I also have a special interest in infertility and miscarriage and am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association.
My Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling is from the University of Edinburgh and I trained in both the person centred and psychodynamic approaches. I also have a masters degree in healthcare leadership and postgraduate training in fertility.
Practice description
The relationship between therapist and client is the most significant factor in whether or not counselling helps, so it's important that we both feel the relationship is right. At our first meeting, we will decide whether we want to continue to work together and agree an initial timescale. Appointments will usually be weekly and at the same time.
I have two spaces for concessionary rates for people who would struggle to pay the full fee. These spaces are both full at the moment.
