About me and my therapy practice

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ

I offer confidential, in-person, Person-centred counselling, for individuals over 18 years of age.

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling (awarded with Distinction).

I work in a private and peaceful therapy room near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. I also offer occasional online and telephone counselling.

My clients are people from all walks of life who, for many different reasons, are suffering and want a change for the better, or who are ready for change and wish to explore possibilities.

The right ‘fit’ of client and counsellor is crucial so please feel free to get in touch through this website, or though my own website (above) and I will get back to you, usually within 48 hours. I will be very happy to answer any questions you may have by email or in a 15-minute, free of charge phone call, or we can book an introductory, without obligation, session of up to 50 minutes. I treat all enquiries in confidence.

Practice description

I work hard to create a safe environment, in which we can build a trusting relationship, so that you will feel supported in sharing and exploring your thoughts and feelings, at your own pace.

I have a non-judgmental, deeply compassionate approach characterised by honest communication and the utmost respect for your experience- you are the only true ‘expert’ on you! My role is to support you in accessing and trusting this expertise, so that together we can better understand your needs and how you can meet them.

I complement my Person-centred practice with a neuroscience-informed approach to working with childhood adversity, abuse and other traumas, 'complex PTSD’, stress, anxiety, depression.

I am experienced in working with clients affected by cancer and other long term conditions. As a volunteer counsellor with the charity Sunflowers in Liverpool, I have supported patients, survivors, family members, carers and the bereaved.

My work with mid-life and older adults includes bereavement and other losses, fears about illness and death and the myriad challenges of ageing.
