About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Rachel and I am a Person Centred counsellor based in the UK with 9 years of professional work experience. I work with Adults and Young People.
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I offer a safe space to explore through what it is you choose to bring to the sessions offering a person centred approach which is nondirective but supportive offering core non judgemental values . It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & listen.
I work with a variety of issues though the majority of client who come to see me tend to be around relationships (family, friends, partner or workplace), mental health related issues such as anxiety, stress and low mood or around general development/direction. Feel free to contact if you want to explore whether we can work together on whatever is troubling you.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor for you can be a difficult process and can raise more questions adding to a sense of being overwhelmed.
If you are uncertain about how to move forward from this place of "looking into counselling/therapy", please feel free to email/ring me to answer any questions. If you feel it would suit you, I offer a no charge/no obligation 20-minute session, where we can see how we would work together.
Our first session would be about exploring the challenges which may have contributed to you seeking therapy at this time. We will talk about the ways in which I may be able to help and work with you.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a trained Supervisor delivering Clinical Supervision in the Hawkins Clear model and Shohet 7 Eyed Model . I am currently offering supervision to counsellors and also to those working in supportive/pastoral care professions, especially within the education/health sectors.
Supervision is an essential professional requirement to ensure effective and ethical practice. Supervision can also help allied professionals to have a space to explore and reflect upon the impact of their work. As a Person-Centred supervisor, my aim would be to always offer the core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard to ensure a supervisory relationship that is based on mutual respect, safety and trust.
My experience has involved working with Adults & Young people in a variety of settings as well as experience managing counselling provisions.
Practice description
I am currently working remotely offering supervision via Teams and working face to face in Manchester City Centre.
My first session
Our first 30-minute session is complimentary and serves as an introduction for both of us. It provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about me and my practice, and to witness how I operate within my ethical professional capacity and practice standards.
I understand that each supervisee's situation is unique, and I adapt my approach and work to suit their individual needs and comfort levels in an ethical manner.
During our sessions, we will discuss the contract; our working agreement, which includes important aspects such as confidentiality, legal requirements, safety measures, data protection, and appointment information.
If you are considering supervision, feel free to contact me via email or phone to schedule an initial appointment.
