About me and my therapy practice
I am passionate about the value of counselling and its potential to improve the lives of individuals. I currently work with adults and young people within private practice, and within a family support counselling organisation. My counselling experience includes working with a large bereavement charity, and rehabilitation services for drug and alcohol misuse.
I provide an environment that is free from judgement and assumption, instead I offer a warm, friendly, and confidential safe space for you to talk. Allowing you to explore and understand whatever is troubling you.
As a caring, compassionate and down to earth, person centred counsellor, I have experience of Psychodynamic, existential and Cognitive behavioural therapy. This enables me to work integratively to suit your individual needs.
I am committed to working in your best interests, and to help you in a way that works for you.
Sometimes our personal lives become very tough and we are unable to deal with the situation alone.
The therapeutic relationship is unlike any other and once we can allow for trust to develop our journey may begin. Being in the room with the counsellor for the first time, might be a very daunting experience, as we are generally not used to being the centre of attention. My aim is to allow you, the time, the understanding, the environment and the exploration to better understand you!
The journey of self-acceptance and the understanding of your personal growth may be long, tough and difficult, but the benefits can be felt within you!
I’m happy to have a no obligation chat to see if there is a way I can help you, so please feel free to get in touch.
