About me and my therapy practice
In a world where perfection is seen as an attainable goal, in my therapy room I offer an alternative: curiousity and play.
Counselling and psychotherapy provides a space just for you. To speak and be truly heard and have all aspects of you be welcome. I celebrate imperfection to allow you to discover your most authentic self, and an environment where all people, whether wounded or healing, will always be welcome.
In practice, I work in a similar way to how I play music with my (amateur) orchestra: finding something bigger than ourselves through working together, and letting go of frustration when things don't go as planned.
I can work with you short term to work on an issue you are currently facing, or long term with part of your history that is making your life difficult now.
Practice description
I believe that everyone has the power within themselves to create a life that is right for them. My first step in this is to fully understand what it feels like to live your life. It would be pointless for me to start giving advice that would work for me, when my experience is so different to every other unique human’s own experience. The next step is to create an attuned working relationship where you will feel safe to share your worries, fears and frustrations. More than anything else, I will want to know you. Only once we have achieved this will I begin to involve myself in making changes.
My first session
I offer an initial session free of charge, so you can visit different therapists and choose the person who you feel the best connection with. In this first session, I’ll ask you what brings you to counselling, and what you want from it. This will allow me to plan our work. Then I’ll give you a contract so we agree on the work.
I will meet you with the same compassion and care I have with my pets (2 cats and 2 chickens). They don't have language to tell me what they need, but through attentive focus, I find (and I will find) a way forward.

About me and my therapy practice
I am currently training towards a Certificate in Supervision with CSTD Bath, and am able to offer low cost supervision sessions for trainee and qualified therapists, either in person in Birmingham or online. I work in line with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¾«×¼×ÊÁÏ Supervision Competence Framework and the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. My main therapeutic modality is Relational Psychotherapy, but my model of supervision supports supervisees in accessing the depth of their own insights rather than relying on myself as a technical expert.
I offer supervision that allows the supervisee to explore and access insight from the relationships between themselves, their theoretical background, the client, and the client's context. While supervision is about supporting the therapist, I ensure we will always focus on the client at the centre of our work.
My working hours are between 8-5 Monday-Friday, please fill out the consultation form if you want to set up a free first meeting.
